Pow Wow to the State Fair

Isey, Nicole, Grandma Jackson, Christina, and Aunt Joey went to the Pow Wow out at Mystic Lake.

We went to the State Fair!  Isey even managed to take a 2 hour nap!

Visited Daddy at his booth and got some ice cream!!  Yummy!

When Isey wants me to go somewhere with her, she comes over and grabs a finger and says C'mon Joey...  That's exactly what she did yesterday after Brett was done watering the tomatoes.  She wanted to go to the park and play...

 I wonder what she's thinking here... she looks so deep in thought.

Celebrating the 4th of July and turning 2 years old!

The 4th of July brought a family gathering to celebrate the day as well as Isebelle's 2nd birthday!

Waiting for the fireworks to start...

Isey did really well with the fireworks.  It was a little loud for her once in a while, but I think she enjoyed it overall.  The grand finale was AWESOME.  You could feel it through your entire body.  The video below really doesn't do it justice...

Water, Bubbles, Water, Sliding, and Dancing

Isey just loves to play with the water out of the rain barrels!  She gets soaking wet everytime, but what fun she has!  She usually waters Brett's tomatoes and peppers...then the grass...and of course the patio.

Bubbles!!  We play with bubbles a lot.  Brett got a cute shot of her trying to catch some.

Ah yes, with summer comes the swimming pool.  We were able to get a nice sized pool that fits on our patio.  It's roomy enough that I could even sit in it on a hot day.  We put her slide up so she could slide into the water.  Here you see her with her tea pot.

Tunnel slides are AWESOME!!  We got her to go down the slide on her tummy once and she then wanted to do it again...again...and again!  We'd put her up to where she could climb the steps up to the slide, she'd look into the tunnel slide and call my name, "Joey!"  I'd be at the end of the slide by then and away she'd go!  "Again!"

 I purchased this sundress for her the other day and she had so much fun dancing around in it.  She wanted me to twirl her around and she'd always be looking down at the skirt.  She just had to wear it to daycare the next day and last night when she went over to Grandma Susan's.

It's raining...it's pouring...

 ...but, Isey doesn't care!  She wanted to get outsde!  Brett put buckets out to catch the rain water so he can water his tomatoes and peppers when he needs to and Isey had a blast!!  I gave her a measuring cup and she would catch water dripping off the roof and dump it into the buckets...or she would transfer water from one bucket to another.  She got so wet...and dirty, but she also had so much fun.  I got her to come into the house by telling her we could play with water in the tub!  At least that water was warm! :-)

We've been VERY busy!!

Isebelle LOVES to swing!  It's hard to get her off of the swing once you start.  The higher you push her, the better!

Chasing the ducks!
There were a couple of ducks at the park and Isey wanted to get a closer look, but those ducks just wouldn't cooperate!  They kept running away and finally took refuge in the pond!

A good friend at work brought me this Dora the Explorer table with umbrella and chairs.  Isey loves it!  She even sat and watched Dora while sitting in one of the Dora chairs.

My family got together for our annual Spring Fling this last weekend.  I think my Mom said we started this 35 years ago!  I didn't start going until 1984 or so...  I told Nicole and Isey to come and go swimming in the pool.  Isey had a lot of fun playing with her ball in the pool.

New outfit!  I got a couple of really cute shorts and tops this weekend and we dug these boots out of a container of clothes that my good friend from work gave me.  Isey wore the boots for quite a while.

The fun doesn't stop!!

I guess you can't really tell in this picture, but Isey is standing on our coffee table in a pair of my heels.  I did get her down...immediately after I snapped a picture!

She can drive the hummer now!  She was a little jerky as she was learning to keep her foot pressed on the pedal, but she thought that was pretty funny too.

Isey found a little notebook...I gave her a pen and she sat down and started writing.  She sat in that chair for quite a while scribbling.
